Product Description
"Your Wish is My Command!" - the famous words of the mythical Aladdin's Genie. There are current day teachers of the law of attraction that believe the tale of Aladdin and his magic lamp was created out of fact, not imagination. They contend that what you think about . . . you bring about. If you project thoughts of illness and misfortune, the same will become your fate. Andrew Carnegie was the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania steel maker that formed the giant U.S. Steel Corporation in the early 1900's. He believed that there was a simple set of attributes that all wealthy men lived by, and these attributes could be discovered, explained and shared with the world. Napoleon Hill was a young newspaper reporter hired by Andrew Carnegie to interview the richest men in America in the early 1900's to determine the common traits of the wealthy. Napoleon Hill spent time with Carnegie, Alexander Graham Bell, Henry Ford, John D. Rockefeller, Sr., F.W. Woolworth, William Wrigley Jr., William Jennings Bryan, President Theodore Roosevelt, President William H. Taft, and Jennings Randolph. He later advised Presidents Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. What he learned from these men, in one sentence is, "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve." Literally what you think about all day long, you will bring about. In 1937 Napoleon Hill wrote Think and Grow Rich, where he described all of the common traits of the men he spent time with. In 1973 when boxer Ken Norton beat Muhammad Ali, he attributed the win to what he learned from that book. The Reverend Charles Stanley, founder of one of the first mega-churches, located in northern Atlanta, credits his success to that book also. The list of notable people since 1937 that have been influenced by this book is much too large to enumerate.
You probably won't run across a magic genie like the one in this old movie that will turn your thoughts into reality in a few seconds, but the principle of repeated specific thoughts creating the knowledge and desire to step towards that thought, making it reality, may be the true basis of the story of Aladdin's Genie, that successful people have been using for thousands of years.
