At one time or another from the 1920’s through the 1970’s, their compositions were heard on records-
many reaching the No. 1 position on the Hit Parade, others prominently featured in major Hollywood musical films. Their career and music are highlighted in this 2 hour presentation on DVD-R.

Presenting and discussing his piano rol recordings. Guests featured include
MICHAEL FEINSTEIN – JODI BENSON – HARRY GROENER
with comments by the late Kitty Carlise-Hart, a personal friend of the Gershwins.
Information and samplers of special interest are offered by musicologist ARTIS WODEHOUSE who describes the process used in the transfer to modern digital medium of vintage George Gershwin piano rolls. ( A 12 track CD titled ‘George Gershwin:The Piano Rolls’ was released on Elektra Nonesuch label in 1993, a result of her work. Selections
include An American In Paris, Rhapsody In Blue, Swanee,
Sweet and Lowdown, That Certain Feeling and others.)
