Dumont (30 min.)
September 6, 1947 Through September 27, 1948
Television's first filmed series; 26 mysteries which ran 17½ minutes each. DuMont added a live three-member panel plus a host; the film would stop before the climax and the panel would attempt to guess at the identity of the guilty party. Other stations were able to purchase rights to air this series, but those most often did not employ panelists.
Starring John Howard as Stephen Allen - Public Prosecutor
