Very well known to film noir audiences as an actor in movies like The Dark Corner and Street With No Name, Mark Stevens works on both sides of the camera here, directing himself as an insurance investigator assigned to the case of a daring $500,000 train robbery that he conceived and executed himself. Old pro King Calder, his partner in the investigation, is relentlessly determined to solve the case and before long, Stevens' meticulously planned "timetable" is in jeopardy. The movie features the first big screen appearance of television actor Jack Klugman.
